How MyBreeze Came About
MyBreeze Hot Flash Fan grew out of a loving collaboration between myself and my husband, Mike. For many years we snuggled together at night, but when my hot flashes began I became increasingly unwilling to sleep close because it was obvious that was a prime trigger of an intensely uncomfortable hot flash. For a couple years I stopped the worst of the symptoms with HRT, but under my doctor's advice went off them and the hot flashes started up again with a vengeance. It quickly became clear to Mike that nighttime snuggling was once again, ending. Mike's a very creative guy and this wasn't going to work for him.
So, teaming up with a couple of tech savvy friends, his brain launched into a solution-oriented development effort. After many months of trial and error (sometimes trying out really comical 'Rube Goldberg' type ideas) the MyBreeze electronic fan design was completed. I was so happy with my new fan that I started talking about it to my friends and relatives. He was happy because I returned to being my sweet self, with a renewed desire for nighttime snuggling. As I started finding out, this night hot flashing problem is a way more serious issue than most people (including the medical community) was willing to acknowledge. And with more women now shunning hormone drugs, doctors have become of surprisingly little help.
Before committing our time and resources to our own development effort, we researched the market place to see if there were any fans or cooling mechanisms that worked for hot flashes. Although there were some products that promised relief, nothing we tried was effective for relieving the specific discomfort of strong, frequent night hot flashing. Relief only came when I installed and tested our own device. Since I was guiding the development step by step, I knew exactly what was needed to relieve this kind of problem. And Mike listened carefully and created MyBreeze for me. And, he got it right, in fact - exactly right.
It's wonderful to be able to share that warm nighttime closeness with him again without fear of that unbearable heat enveloping me. Actually, I sort of look forward to it because I know that with the push of a simple button, that heat with just the right amount of cool breeze blowing over me, transports me into a state of pure bliss. Ladies, I kid you not.
